Biography
John Condrone is an award winning Dove & Grammy nominated ASCAP songwriter who hails from southern Florida. After long running stints with touring bluegrass groups Tranquility Express and The Roane State Boys, he settled in to Tennessee and focused much time and energy into songwriting.
John's commercial success began with the theme song for the television series Reflections in 1979. Followed up by songs in the animated Charlie Chan And The Chan Clan, the American Cancer Society theme, the Dream Connection theme, and several television and radio commercials. In 2001, while writing at SONY in Nashville, he scored again with Kimberly Simon's #1 single "If You Stole My Heart" which hung around 17 weeks in the Top Twenty and evolved into a CMT video in Canada.
Condrone has had 4 Top Ten's in Europe, including a new hot pop single in Japan, "In My Mind". He received 2004 Dove & Grammy nominations in connection with his song "But Then" recorded by Gospel hitmakers Young Harmony, including a nod for "Christian Country Song Of The Year". As a music supervisor, he placed several songs in two major films, Dixie County Line and The Perfect Proposal. Recently, John has had placements with Tim McGraw, Kellie Pickler, Julie Reeves, Happy Feet, Dollywood, Joshua Creek, Queen Of Hearts, Thunder Express, with chart topping cuts in U.S., Canada, Japan, Sweden, Greece and Europe.
John is a much called on teacher for songwriter workshops and critique sessions, and continues to actively write, pitch and produce in today's music scene. He, also, publishes the national on-line ezine Songbird Cafe
